I saw this quote on Facebook and I do not know who said it\u00e2?\u00a6but it\u00e2??s powerful. Sometimes I forget that Sammy isn\u00e2??t dealing with the same set of parameters that I am. Sometimes I forget that to him an acorn is the whole universe while all I am trying to do is make money. Sometimes I feel like crap when I remember that. I feel like crap because sometimes making money is my universe and his acorn seems ridiculously insignificant.<\/p>\n

I realize that he\u00e2??s right\u00e2?\u00a6that acorn is all that matters. It\u00e2??s not the money or the cool wine event or the car I drive. We view kids as \u00e2??not yet understanding the world\u00e2?\u009d but I think we have it backwards. They think Buy Cialis<\/a> an acorn is significant. They could care less about money, what religion you are, what political party you belong to, the color of your skin, or whether you\u00e2??re gay or straight.<\/p>\n

My boy is amazed by all the right things. He\u00e2??s amazed by acorns, leaves, bugs, and the moon; not by the Khardashian\u00e2??s or how he looks in a mirror. It\u00e2??s a shame we get so caught up in the things that don\u00e2??t matter so much. You know\u00e2?\u00a6those things you won\u00e2??t be thinking about at all when you\u00e2??re on your death bed.<\/p>\n

I love the reminder of the quote above. I love that Sammy is in my life because as chaotic as my brain can get he is an anchor. I love that he doesn\u00e2??t care about my money and all he wants me to do is read him a book or take him to the park. These days are irreplaceable\u00e2?\u00a6and I\u00e2??m realizing that having reminders is a good thing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
