Although Sammy won\u2019t be 3 years old until October 12<\/span> his 3 year checkup was scheduled for today. And the results are in\u2026.<\/p>\n

Lungs, heart, legs, feet, mouth (teeth, etc.), spine, and so on all look great. There has been a bump on Sammy\u2019s right side chest for many months and the doctor said it was \u2018water warts\u2019. Says that within the next year or so they will go away on their own. Sammy got a hepatitis A #2 shot and the flu mist deal sprayed in his nose. He weighed in at 34 pounds (81st percentile) and is 38.25 inches tall (67th percentile).<\/p>\n

Sammy handled the checkup really well but did cry a little bit when he got the shot\u2026to be expected.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s always nice to see the doctor. It\u2019s almost like he validates us and makes us feel we are doing a good job with Sammy. He mentioned that Sammy speaks really well and that he\u2019s very polite. Sammy kept telling him \u2018thank you\u2019 after each little checkup thing he would do. Pretty funny. His next checkup will be at 4 years old.<\/p>\n
