Last year we heard that Paso Robles was overrun with dinosaurs\u2026but we missed Jurassic Quest<\/a>. So, this year we made sure to go see the colossal scene at the Paso Robles Event Center. I didn\u2019t know much about it other than we suspected it would be fun for Sammy.<\/p>\n

Once through the main gate you are greeted with a couple of huge replicas of dinosaurs, as you can see pictured in the slideshow below. From there you can walk through the first of three buildings which housed numerous dinosaur scenes set up with moving parts, growling, snarling, and a little bit of blood.<\/p>\n

In between the first and second building there was an outdoor area setup with several bounce houses and slides for the kids to go crazy on. This may have been Sammy\u2019s favorite part. He loves those things. After doing that for quite a while we convinced to come check out the next building. In the second building we found a few areas setup with activities for kids, a toy store area (yes, he got a toy), and a fenced off area where a human in black leotard wore this dinosaur outfit\/ contraption and walked back and forth pretending to eat the children. It was quite amusing.<\/p>\n

The final building had a couple of ride-type things. One was a dinosaur he could get on (with a cool mohawk helmet, safety first when riding a dinosaur) and ride. The other\u2026I don\u2019t remember, so there.<\/p>\n

Overall it was pretty cool. Much cooler for Sammy than us but that\u2019s what parenting is about sometimes, doing stuff you don\u2019t necessarily love but seeing it through his eyes makes up for that. It was actually quite informative as well. By each dinosaur display there were plaques setup to read and learn about these prehistoric creatures. Other than the bounce houses I think Sammy\u2019s favorite part was the dinosaur that was bleeding. That\u2019s a little boy for you, I suppose.<\/p>\n

Anyways, just another adventure in the life of Sammy Browne.<\/p>\n\n\n
