{"id":2517,"date":"2013-08-27T15:00:51","date_gmt":"2013-08-27T22:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.matthewliberty.com\/?p=2517"},"modified":"2013-08-27T15:00:51","modified_gmt":"2013-08-27T22:00:51","slug":"perspective","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/matthewliberty\/2013\/08\/27\/perspective\/","title":{"rendered":"Perspective"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a world with limitless possibility, endless opinions, and multiple ways to skin a cat\u2026why do we choose to hold on so tightly to our one, single perspective?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We take the same route to work each day.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 103px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/86624586@N00\/10174440\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"zemanta-img-inserted zemanta-img-configured\" title=\"aristotle_tall\" alt=\"aristotle_tall\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/7\/10174440_80ab6a311e_m.jpg\" width=\"103\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Aristotle (Photo credit: kevinzim)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We sit in the same chair in the living room each day.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We think our political party is always right.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We think our religion is right.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We take a shower at the same time each day.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We go to the same grocery store every time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We have the same opinions we did yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This world is too big and has too many opportunities for us to think one way. All I\u2019m saying is that I think we owe it to ourselves to push the boundaries we hold on to so tightly. If you sit in a different chair in your living room you have a new and different perspective. If you take a different route to work you gain new perspective.
