Out at Derby Wine Estates

March 23, 2010 matt 2 Comments

Venturing out to our local wineries again…we landed at Derby Wine Estates  http://www.derbywineestates.com/ for a taste!  Located a couple of miles out the 46 East, this is a humble looking tasting room from the outside; but once you walk inside, you’ll be greeted by friendly people, good wines, and cool stuff to buy.  They’ve got a nice variety of wine, particularly their Rhone whites and some of their Red Blends.  You’ll find a Pinot Noir here, which is something you won’t find at a lot of the Paso Robles area wineries, unless they get their grapes from a cooler area.  Derby has a regulation horseshoe pit for you to use at your leisure as well as several picnic tables situated under the big shade trees.  Enjoy!
