Avila Wine and Roasters

May 13, 2010 matt 1 Comment

There’s this awesome wine tasting room in downtown Avila Beach where you can wander off the beach, and stroll right in for a tasting or a glass of wine.  http://avilawineandroasting.com/.  What more does one need when hangin out on the Central Coast, right?  They’ve got lots of local wines, and they’ll tell you all about them.  You can pick of few of the wines they have open to taste, or you can go right to a glass and enjoy it on the patio.  Be sure to grab a couple of bottles for the road (no, not for while you’re driving, silly; for later) because a lot of the wines they have are from small producers that aren’t distributed, or maybe don’t have tasting rooms.  It’s a treat to be able to find wines that you won’t come across every day.  Oh yeah, and they serve snacks like paninis and cheese plates, too!  You can even get a cup of fresh roasted coffee if that’s what you’re into…
