Pony Club – Behind the Vines with Edward Sellers

May 26, 2010 matt 2 Comments

There’s an awesome wine bar alongside this quaint and very beautiful B&B right off the square in downtown Paso Robles.  The hotel is called Hotel Cheval, and the wine bar is called The Pony Club.  http://www.hotelcheval.com/.  They have a winemaker night during Spring and Summer where they feature a flight of 3 or so wines, and the winemaker wanders around and talks to you about their wine.  Amy Butler of Edward Sellers wines told us all about the Rhone wines that she crafts for Edward Sellers, and we’re huge fans!  http://edwardsellers.com/.  The winemaker nights are a great opportunity to get out there, try some premier wines, and learn more about how they’re made.

Big Rhone fan myself. Eager to get up to Paso sometime in the near future (for that very reason)!

Joe, this is THE place for Rhones! They’re everywhere up here! Let us know when you head up and we’ll point you in the direction of some of our favorites! Cheers!
