J. Lohr Winery and Vineyards

November 4, 2010 matt 2 Comments

Let’s just start this off by saying that J. Lohr has long been one of our favorite tasting rooms to stop in at.  We first went there right after we started dating; about 4 years ago.  We considered it our neighborhood bar, but don’t tell them that!  They have a long list of wine to taste, everything from Chardonnays to Riesling to Petite Sirah.  Hell, they even have non-alcoholic wine that they’ll let you taste (not sure why you’d want to, but it’s a free country).

Working on the assumption that you’ve at least heard of J. Lohr wine, you know that they’re everywhere!  You can find them at Vons or Costco or maybe even your local neighborhood wine bar, but they’re out there.  It’s hard not to be when you make over 1 million cases!  Even with such large production and distribution, the minute you walk into their tasting room in Paso Robles, you’ll feel comfortable and relaxed as you meander through their list of wines.  You might even feel a little like Norm from Cheers…we did!

Oh Yeah we love J. Lohr we always have a bottle or two in our inventory. They will be our first stop when we come to visit because I would love to taste their high end wine. Cheers!
