Actors, Beauty Queens, and Wine

Carmody McKnight…heard of it? It’s a pretty interesting story, go to the link to read the fascinating details on how they found their property. Behind all that you have the owners, Gary Conway, an actor, and Marian McKnight Conway, a former Miss America…bet you’ve never been to a winery that had all that going for it! If you’d like to do more homework on them, their bios are also in the link to their website, and are pretty intriguing.

The property is stunning with it large pond, beautiful mature olive and oak trees, and grape vines. An absolute picnic spot for sure…when the weather’s warm. The quaint tasting room not only serves as a place to pour their wine but also their olive oils and displays Gary’s art. The wines include chardonnay, cab franc, cab sauv, merlot, pinot noir, dessert wine, and now a sparkling (we did not taste this).

It’s definitely a neat stop, many wines to try and beautiful scenery make it worth it. Check it out and let us know what you think!!

I watched the video on Eye on the Bay and what an awesome winery thanks for showing us this one. Have you visited the Harris Stage Line? That’s what I want to visit and ride when we come to PR and also the Lavendar Farm, I order Lavendar from Los Olivos and Temecula now I want to try the Central Coast.
