Paso Robles: Crush & Roll West 2013

May 29, 2013 matt 4 Comments

We’re already about halfway through 2013 which means I can start getting excited about one of the local events I love so much…Crush and Roll West, an event celebrating the cigar and wine lifestyle. This event takes place at the Paso Robles Event Center September 6th and 7th (Friday night and Saturday).

I get excited about this event for several reasons, one of which is this absolutely amazing list of vendors (cigars, wine, beer, and lifestyle) that will be there smoking, pouring, drinking, selling, and hanging out!! The list this year is seriously impressive!

Another reason I get excited about this event is because I don’t go to any other cigar events. I’ve never been to the big one that takes place in Vegas or any other stogie inspired shindig…so this one that takes place right here in Paso Robles is my one and only. This is the 5th year for the event and we’ve been to…hmmm…all of them and they are getting better and better each year.

The interesting thing about this event is the community…the people. It’s just like the wine community, a big group of people that enjoy a certain lifestyle and spending time with other likeminded folks. That’s been the thing to really hit me as I have immersed myself in this lifestyle, the sense of friendship and fun. In my mind it all goes together; the Paso Robles wine community, craft brew, and the smell of stogies!

As you’ll see in the video below that I did with Doc (Stogie Fresh), Bill Roof, and Christina (The Boss Cigars), they get much more in depth on what’s going on this year at the event. This is part 1 of 2 so stay tuned for more info next week.

Two things I will mention that standout about this year’s event are:

1)      This year’s charity is the North County Women’s Shelter & Resource Center, soon to be called the Sexual Recovery & Prevention Center.

2)      This year they have a ticket called the “Social Ticket” which gets you into the event for less money and you get all the access but you don’t get the cigars. A great way for the non cigar smokers to be able to come and enjoy the wine, beer, and great people (More info here) .

Be sure to check out the video below, these three are always interesting to hang out with!!
