New Shop in Paso Robles: Haymarket

August 25, 2014 matt 4 Comments

From the owners of Hotel Cheval and the Pony Club Bar at the hotel, comes Haymarket. Located where Vivant Fine Cheese used to be, on Pine St. between 10th St. and 11th St. It’s being touted as a gourmet grocery store. They will have prepared food to go or enjoy on their patio along with other unique food items, wine, and things for the home and kitchen.

In fact, Annie found some cool plastic tumblers while we were there that she picked up. They also had the 2013 Miraval Rose which is a wine project between Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and Famille Perrin so we grabbed a bottle of that too.

Haymarket just opened on Saturday (Aug 23) so we’ll see how things go but my initial thoughts are that it fits in well downtown. I like the vibe and the store has some unique offerings so I think it will do well. My favorite aspect of that space, even back when it was Vivant, is the patio. If you’ve never hung out and enjoyed a little food and wine you really should.

One more spot to check out in our kickass downtown! Cheers!

Looks inviting, I’ve bought some Miraval Rose at BevMo and it’s was good so I went back a couple weeks later they were out, that’s how good the wine is. Thanks for sharing.
