Pozo Saloon in Santa Margarita

February 27, 2017 matt Leave a Comment

On our recent visit to Santa Margarita Lake we had to go back to Pozo Saloon. If you haven’t been you’re really missing out on one of those fun, rustic pieces of history. The wood floors inside are worn and creaky but it completely adds to the experience. It’s extremely family-friendly and there’s plenty of space inside and out. We typically sit out back but it was a bit too cold this time.

I’m not going to get into all the history of the place but I will mention that it’s a big music venue. That has always tripped me out since it’s a pretty good drive east of HWY 101 but good for them. We went to a concert there many moons ago and it was a blast.

This post is more just a reminder to all of you that you should get out to Pozo Saloon when you get a chance. Great spot.

In the slideshow below you’ll see the food we got. A cheeseburger with all the fixings, an Ortega burger on lettuce instead of a bun, and a grilled cheese with ham. The food was great, as it always is. Before I go I will add that the customer service has always been fantastic. Cheers!
