Wine Festival Adventures: Oso Libre Winery

June 3, 2011 matt 4 Comments

One of the things we enjoy most about the wine world is the sense of community and the stories in that community. A great place for us to walk amongst that community and get those stories is at Wine Festival here in Paso Robles. As you saw from Wednesday’s post, where we caught up with Gary Eberle of Eberle Winery, we were in the right place at the right time to catch up with some of our favorite local wine peeps.

This video is an interview at Wine Fest with Jeff from Oso Libre, and while Oso Libre is still a little bit fresh on the wine map, they’re busy building a cult following! Those that have been to Oso Libre know that it’s a one-of-a-kind experience!  The facility is absolutely beautiful; modern, yet “green”, from the windmill that provides power for stuff, to sheep chomping grass in the vineyards, they practice sustainability.  Their wines are delightful and the selection of what they pour in their tasting room is sure to meet every palate’s requirements.  Oh, and wait…feeling like you might need a great steak to pair with that rich red wine you just fell in love with while tasting?  Never fear, you can grab some organic Angus beef right off the chiller shelf, fresh from their very own cattle!

They’re putting it all together over at Oso Libre, from the people pouring your wine, to the view out the window, to the cool color scheme in the tasting room; you’re sure to enjoy the whole gig!  Now…watch this video of Jeff Freeman telling you what they’re all about.  Then, hop in your car and get out there!!!

I like the “extra” question Annie has been asking re: hobbies, personal likes. Fun addition! 🙂

It’s always fun to try and get some extra scoop out of people…after all, you can only ask about wine for so long, right? Thanks, Dahlynn!

That’s cool, Cyndee!!! They’re definitely doing it right over there. Maybe we should get Jeff to do some more interviews about sustainability and compliance!!!
