Wine: Here, There & Everywhere!

August 19, 2011 matt 8 Comments

So, what’s your deal?  What’s your favorite place to drink wine?  Do you have a favorite time or mood to have a glass?  What we mean is this….

– When you’re reading a book by the fireplace?

– At a wine bar with friends?

– On the deck on a hot summer day?

– When you’re having people over for a dinner party?

– On a special occasion with people you dig?

– Whenever, because wine just tastes good?

– Only at wedding receptions, because it’s free!?

Tell us, what’s your favorite wine scenario?  What’s the perfect scene?  What’s the ideal set up?   When do YOU and WINE get along best???

    1. Well I have to credit my dad, he has “Happy Hour” (drinkee pooh as he calls it) at his house everyday from 4-5pm just before dinner, so when I am visiting I either bring a bottle of wine I like or drink whatever he has, so I have adopted his tradition in my house and I always hold up my glass and say heres to you dad it’s drinkee pooh time. lol. That is my favorite, being with my dad, 2. then getting together with friends and wine tasting and dinner which we like to do every two-three months, with different friends (so as soos as I find a job, it will be every month). 3. We do have one favorite wine shop in Uptown Whittier called Vinatero’s that has all kinds of events Friday night it’s Vinyl night which is fun to hear different songs, we brought our wedding song (We’ve only just begone by the Carpenters) so they made my husband and I slow dance and took pictures. 4. I like to cozy up with a glass of wine reading a good book (but no fireplace-darn).

Hey Bev! Thanks for sharing…that’s awesome that you have such great times with your dad and the happy hour. I think we should all do the same! What’s wrong with having more happy hours, anyway? Wine tasting with friends is always fun, in fact, it’s possible that we partake in that a little too often…hehehe. Enjoy your weekend, hope there’s many happy hours for you, and no worries on the fireplace, they’re overrated! 😉

At the swing bar at Moon Palace Sunrise in Cancun, where you can enjoy a variety of South American wines, in addition to Central America, European and US wines. They even have a bottle or two of wines in your room upon arrival….Of course, there is no additional fee over and above the all-inclusive fee, AND there are no restrictions in brand names, or “top shelf” status….. My favorite is still cabernet!

Hi Barbara! Sounds like we need to get a trip in to Cancun sometime soon! Oh wait, we just might sooner than we think. We love Cabernet, too…it’s hard to beat a good Cab. Cheers!!!

As my husband keeps telling me “It’s five O’Clock somewhere”.

I love my glass of vino, sparkly, dry white or lucious red. I am a dedicated wine junkie. My philosphy is anytime, anywhere, what ever takes your mood! Why? Because I can.

We love getting together with friends, or just relaxing in our lovely home. Cheers everyone!

Great Post! I love having a glass of vino while watching the sunset on the beach. Another favorite is with a picnic lunch at a winery or grabbing a bite to eat at a wine bar – did this at Stax in Morro Bay (great place by the way – thanks for the recommendation). Cheers!!!
