Tastes of the Valleys – Pismo Beach

August 4, 2010 matt 5 Comments

So, last year we had stayed down in Solvang and stumbled on to a place called Tastes of the Valleys. While there Lissa, co-owner along with her husband Ash, told us that they were looking in to opening a spot in Pismo Beach. This past weekend we ended up in Pismo for our two year anniversary and had to go check out their new location. It’s located right on Price St., which is quickly becoming known as ‘Restaurant Row’, just blocks from the beach.

Bottom line is, Tastes of the Valleys is a wine bar…but not just your standard wine bar.  They have numerous ways you can do tastings, a fantastic wine list; you’ll find wines from all over the Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties, and it’s a well designed hang out spot. Beyond that, Lissa is great behind the counter. She’s super sweet and was a blast to sit and chat with as we tasted through some wonderful whites while enjoying our anniversary.

Bev – we had a great day…stayed in Pismo at the Sea Venture, which is where we got married. Pismo is a fun little town to check out, you’ll definitely have to add that to the list!
