Jack Creek Cellars

Paso Robles Wine: Jack Creek Cellars

January 21, 2013 matt 2 Comments

We’ve always enjoyed the wines from Jack Creek Cellars but it had been quite some time since we had visited their tasting room on Jack Creek Road off of Vineyard Drive here in beautiful Paso Robles. One of the best things about wine tasting in Paso Robles is the drive. No matter what time of year it is, there is a unique beauty to this area…the rolling hills, oak trees, Spanish moss, and vineyards fill the landscape. The drive to Jack Creek is no different.

They have four wines on their menu that we tasted through:

2010 Estate Chardonnay

2010 Estate Pinot Noir

2010 Estate Pinot Noir Reserve

2010 Estate Syrah

We enjoyed each wine quite a bit. I am a big Chard and Pinot fan and Jack Creek does not disappoint. Just opened one of the Chards last night that we had purchased while there last week and it’s just awesome. Although I love wine and food, I am also a big fan of wines that can be drunk without food. I love flavorful, smooth wines…the Chard and Pinots are just that. Jack Creek is a Hoot n Annie must-visit if you’re out on the west side tasting.

There’s another thing about Jack Creek that I liked quite a bit. As many of you know we are big fans of customer service done right. What that means to us is that wineries hire the right people with good personalities and solid knowledge of what they are doing. They’ve got this going for them with Brette and Whitney in the tasting room. We have known Brette for some time and she has always been awesome but this was our first time meeting Whitney and she was great.

Thank you Brette and Whitney for a fun afternoon wine tasting. Little Sammy really enjoyed himself too!! Keep up the great work, Jack Creek Cellars!!

As you’ll see, we also shot a short video. We used to do these videos all the time but got lazy so we are going to get motivated and do more of them in 2013.
