Music, Food, and Wine for must! charities

As some of you may know, Annie and I heard about this local charity, must! charities, a while back and decided to get involved with them due to their focus on our local area and because of the amazing people that are involved. Our involvement thus far has been to donate a little money, I help use their Twitter account at no cost, and we try to spread the word about them via avenues like this blog post.

I know that so many of us get inundated with charitable requests so rather than get too into that aspect of things I wanted to share some super cool upcoming events that will be happening in which must! charities is the beneficiary.

1) June 6th there is a concert at Venteux Vineyards where Berlin will be performing. One Time Spaceman, a local group, will be opening for them and the man, the myth, the legend – Bobby Fox – will be the MC.

2) June 23rd is the Real Men Drink Pink bash at Star Farms

3) July 6th is the Forks & Corks event hosted by Halter Ranch Winery

4) July 13th is the Central Coast Wine Classic at Avila Beach Golf Resort

As you can see there are some pretty kick ass events coming up in this community. These people are coming together to have fun but the fact that these events are happening and must! charities will benefit from them shows the deeper sense of community in this amazing wine region. I’ve been extremely impressed with how this charity has been received and how quickly people seem to be signing up to partner with them.

Here’s the thing, I would greatly appreciate you spreading the word by sharing this blog post, follow must! charities on Facebook and/or Twitter, donate, come to some of the events, or make the choice to volunteer at some of these events. Here is a passage about volunteering that Becky Gray, Executive Director, recently sent out in an email:

“At this time we are building a database for potential volunteers to work at these events, and/or potentially other events or projects down the line. If you are willing to add your name to this database as a potential volunteer, please reply back to this email and Kyle, our special projects coordinator will be in touch with you. It would be helpful to know ahead of time if you are available and willing to work at any of the events listed above.”
