Firestone Brewery – 'Cuz Beer is Our Brainstorming Beverage

December 15, 2010 matt 8 Comments

We do this wine thing all the time, which we obviously love, but sometimes you have to wash it all down with a cold beer…or two.  The famous Firestone Walker Brewery is right here in our backyard so we thought, what the hell…take the wine blog to the beer factory!

I (Hoot) have been digging their beer for quite some time and, while Annie just isn’t a big beer drinker, she decided to have a sampler flight of 5 beers (who’s not a beer drinker?).  Now back to the “we” talk; we had a great time hanging out, drinking a couple of beers, ordered a little pizza to munch on and watched a football game.  So that leads us to our one beef, they were showing the Raiders game…ugh!!  Well, no it’s fine.

Anyway, great time!  Love the place and we’ll definitely be back but we’re going to aim to do a tour of the facility!! Happy drinkin’!!

You know the saying – It takes a lot of beer to make a good wine!

Vicki – definitely heard that one before! Funny how you see winemakers walking around a wine event with a cold beer in their hand…but who can blame them? Cheers!
