Paso Robles Wine: Field Recordings Wine

November 21, 2018 matt Leave a Comment

We recently stopped in for lunch again at the newly opened Tin Canteen in Tin City. Great spot for food by the way. After lunch we noticed how convenient the new location of Field Recordings was…right next door. It’s like the Wine Gods were slapping us in the face with a sign, go wine taste. So, we did.

Field Recordings is one of those fun wine brands that messes around with many different things. They’ve got a cool, kick back vibe, and the wines…quite nice and reasonable prices. You can learn more about Andrew Jones, the owner, here.

Here’s what we tasted:

2017 Creston Ridge Rose $30.00

2016 Spanish Springs Chardonnay $35.00

2017 Pomar Junction Verdelho $25.00

2017 Superiore (54% Corvina 28% Cabernet Sauvignon 18% Rodinella) $25.00

2017 Harr Tannat $25.00

2015 Foeder Red Blend $35.00

We enjoyed the Rose, Vedelho, Superiore, and Tannat. Sammy enjoyed himself as well and got a new Field Recordings hat to prove it. This is also one of the O.G. (I think) wineries that was putting wine in cans. We did not try any of those this time but what we’ve had in the past was unique, fun, and good on the go. You can see their extensive canned wines list here. Be sure to go check them out.
