Generations of Fess Parker Wine in Santa Barbara County

May 9, 2011 matt 4 Comments

When we were on our recent weekend stay in Solvang, we hit up many tasting rooms in Los Olivos…one of which was E & T Wines. Okay, okay…the name may not mean anything to you but it will. This tasting room houses Tessa Marie and Triune wines….now you get it right?

Okay, in case you don’t…the “E” in E & T stands for Eli, son of the iconic Fess Parker…now that’s a big deal!! Now hold on to your seats, the “T” stands for Tessa Marie, granddaughter of Fess Parker. Eli and his daughter, Tessa, created E & T to make Triune together and then Tessa makes the Tessa Marie line. She’s in her early twenties and is doing quite well in creating her own legacy…although it is always tough to break away from a name like Fess Parker!

Tessa had a Vermentino, the blend called Coquette (70% Sangiovese, and 30% Syrah), and a Sangiovese…while the Triune label had a Grenache Blanc, a Chardonnay, and a blend called Synthesis (40% Cabernet, 37% Grenache, 16% Syrah, and 7% Tempranillo).

One of the standouts was Tessa Marie’s Sangiovese…we hear that this is her pet project, and she really has a great story…go check out the website to read more about all that!

Check this place out, it’s reeking of cool history and the wines are really intriguing and tasty!  Way to carry on the incredible family legacy.  That’s something that every family would be and should be proud of! Cheers!!!

Hey, was just at Tessa Marie a couple of weekends ago. Her Sangio totally rocks. Pretty cool that she’s about 24 or 25 and making some sick, kick-ass wines. I dug this one called Coquette. Got a bottle. Pretty cool blend though I forget what’s in it, but I think it’s like Syrah and Sangio. Anyway, cool timing on you writing this. You’ve got a nose for what’s rockin’ out there.

Hey Raley Roger! Yeah…definitely a cool story and great wines! Love a good Sangio, those can be hard to find sometimes, especially up here in the Paso Robles area! Great that you were in tasting, do you get out to a lot of SB County wineries??? Any other favorites that we need to check out?
