Hard to believe. Sammy, who was just born yesterday, turned two on October 12th. Okay, I know he wasnâ??t born yesterdayâ?¦obviously, but wow have these first couple of years flown by. As the saying goes, the days go by slow and the years go by fast (or something like that).
We had a great birthday for him. Who am I kidding though, it was for us. A bunch of adults with food, wine, and beerâ?¦thatâ??s how we roll. We had about 25-ish people over to our house. My dad and step mom came in from the Sacramento area. Annie’s mom, uncle and his wife, grandmother, and cousins (Ben and Tim) were all in attendance.
Along with them we had some great friends over. Thank you to those that made it. No worries to those that did not make it, there is always another reason to party. Our friend John made paella, there were a bunch of appetizers, music thanks to Pandora, playoff baseball on TV, beer, wine, and stogies.
My kind of party.
Thank you again to anyone and everyone who has been part of our journey, part of Sammyâ??s journey, whether it be online or off line, from the beginning or just for stages of it. Every ounce of love and support that has been sent to us and to Sammy has been greatly appreciated. I wish every kid could grow with as much love as he has been shown by dozens (actually hundreds) of people. Sincerelyâ?¦thank you.
In other news, Sammy also went in for his two year doctor check-up. Everything is sailing right along. No issues to report but the two basic stats are height and weight. As of October 14th he weighed 32.2 pounds and is 35 inches tall. Grow baby, grow.
And now, we move on to his third Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Yearâ??s. Itâ??s been a wild ride and we hope youâ??re in this with us for the long haul. It takes a village all the way around. Thanks again!
