Sammy’s First Dentist Visit

As much as I tried to convince Annie not to take him to the dentist she just wouldn’t listen…but she never does listen to me. Kidding folks, just a joke. Anyways, it was finally Sammy’s time to go in for a check-up and from what Annie says, he did absolutely amazing.

He let them check around in there as well as polish those pearly whites right up. I didn’t really know what to expect but I can honestly say that I was a bit surprised to hear that literally nothing went wrong.

He got a clean bill of mouth health from the dentist. Everything looks normal…which basically means there are no mouth/ teeth oddities. Good to know. Check out the photos below that Annie snagged while there. He looks quite comfortable in my opinion.

  1. His first encounter with a dentist was much more successful than mine. My mother was deathly afraid of dentists — with good reason. One had broken a needle in her jaw giving an injection. She had me so afraid of dentists back in the 1940’s when I was young that I ran and hid in the restroom when a dentist came to give free exams at a school in Perris, California, where I had enrolled for a week while my parents were there on business . The principal had to call my mom to come and get me out. That was my first encounter. It was OK when the dentist finally checked me out.

    Dentistry was much different back then. It’s still not on my list of favorite activities, but at least it’s more tolerable now. Glad all went well with Sammy. He looks almost swallowed up by that chair.
