The title is a line my wife has said a bunch of times and I have to agree, it’s a great “life” lesson. I take it to mean to focus on yourself and not be so critical of others. Whether it’s your neighbor, your friend, Tiger Woods, John Edwards, Britney Spears, or whomever…who are you to say? If we could all practice being a little less critical and a little more understanding I think it might be a far better world.
Raise your hand if you have not done something stupid or made a mistake. Exactly. I believe that if we spent more time knowing ourselves and liking ourselves we would be less critical of others. Trust me, I know I ound corny, but the next time you want to start ripping someone apart, take a moment and do somehting positive instead. We don’t know their situation or circumstances so don’t verbally beat them into oblivion. Love, like and kindness are far more fun than negativity, harsh words, and hatred anyways.
The best thing about being positive is that you will, whether you know it or not, help others…which is the most amazing gift there is. So, stay positive in the face of ugliness and I promise you; good will come to you and those around you.
