My wife and I have three blogs between us, and working on two more; each blog is a different genre. We do a wine blog together, she has a cooking blog, I have this blog which is just personal thoughts, she’s working on her personal blog, and I’m working on one specifically for contractors (people in the trades) and their customers.
So, I have been asked, “Why did you start blogging?”, several times and I struggled with that answer in the beginning. I started blogging because I use to write relentlessly but life got “to busy” so I just didn’t have time anymore. Blogging allows a much more engaging way for me to write and make the time for it. In addition to that, I wanted to be part of the conversation happening around the world, and this is my two cents that nobody can take away from me. The fact that I can write something and maybe only one person reads it, or the possibility of 10,000 people reading it, is quite intriguing.
Bottom line, I think it’s super important to have thoughts, ideas, and opinions. And I think it’s even more important to put them out there and enter the global conversation.
