This is just a quick entry regarding the oil spill that happened roughly 30 to 35 days ago off the coast of Louisiana. Why is it our government is so willing to intrude in to our lives, our homes, our businesses; but they have been unwilling to step in and take control of the oil spill. They have allowed BP to manage the situation and from the sound of it, they have done a horrific job. One report even stated that other oil companies asked BP if they could help and BP refused.
So is this something the federal government should step in on or not? My thoughts are obviously yes.
Yes, they should have stepped in from day 1. I’m baffled by it. Both political parties and the modern state of our political culture are depressing to me, as is this oil spill.
