Paso Robles Eats: The Hatch

October 2, 2015 matt 3 Comments

We’ve been to The Hatch many times since they opened and on our ‘date night’ last night we decided to go in there for a snack and a drink and hop around to a few other spots downtown. Well, we ended up ordering more than one snack because we happened to go in on “new menu” day. I’m going to keep this blog post short so here’s what we had:

Duck Sausage

Duck Sausage- Quick Braised Red Cabbage, Whole Grain Mustard, Bitter Greens $13.00 (new)

Brussels Sprouts- Apple, Bacon, Almonds, Golden Raisins $7.00 (don’t think this is new)

Ramen- Okra, Collard Greens, Maitake, Bacon, Rotisserie Chicken, Pickled Egg $15.00 (new, pictured above)

As you know from previous posts about The Hatch, we love the vibe and the people. The décor is right up our alley and we’ve had great customer service each time. This meal blew me away. The Duck Sausage and the Brussels Sprouts were really good but the Ramen…best meal I’ve had in months. It was so damn good! The broth, the homemade noodles (made that morning), the okra, house-cured bacon….everything. It was perfect and I wouldn’t change a thing.

This is the perfect fall/ winter dish and I hope it stays on the menu for quite some time. Go check it out and let me know what you think.
