$1M Goal Achieved in 3 Years of Giving by must! charities

February 2, 2016 matt Leave a Comment

I’ve mentioned must! charities many times on our blog. If you have not heard of them please check out the good work they do there. They are an amazing organization made up of people that care about their community and follow through beyond just caring. They turn that caring into action. And that action is proving to make a difference today but also long term. Check out their latest press release and this amazing goal they’ve met in only three years.

In three years of project collaborations in Northern San Luis Obispo County, must! charities hits the million dollar mark with its latest partnership with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)

Templeton, Calif. (February 2) –Since its first project collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club of Northern San Luis Obispo in 2012, must! charities partnered with the Food Bank Coalition, Big Brothers Big Sisters and most recently CASA, investing over $1 million to create long-term, sustainable change in the community.
The $1 million invested in the last three years was raised in a grass-roots effort made possible by community members, winery and business partners, and visionary contributors who are dedicated to transforming our community. Past and current Executive Board Members of must! charities cover all overhead, which means that all community donations go directly to project collaborations.

“This is the perfect example of what can be accomplished in a short window of time when a community comes together for good,” said Becky Gray, Executive Director of must! charities. “This is just a drop in the bucket of what is to come. There are great needs in our communities and we will continue to rally together to make sure those needs are addressed. We have a long road ahead of us, but we are so thankful for the many people who share our vision and are making this collaborative giving effort a reality and a success.”

In its recent collaboration, must! charities committed to a four-year, $260k partnership with CASA to address their unmet needs in Northern San Luis Obispo County.  By pursuing the four-year plan, CASA will not only be able to help more children find safe, nurturing and permanent homes, but will also be able to sustain this program after support from must! charities is completed.
