Tasting at Chateau Margene

March 31, 2010 matt 2 Comments

Now this is the stuff!  Chateau Margene is located South East of Paso Robles on La Panza Rd…http://www.chateaumargene.com/.  They focus on making Cabernet Sauvignon and do a wonderful job!  They make about 3,000 cases a year, of which includes their second label, Mooney Family, which produces some Pinot Noir, Red blends and other tasty treats.  They’ve developed a bit of a cult following and for good reason.  The wines are good.  I mean, just downright good!  The tasting room is located on their property, which is perfectly groomed and totally pleasant.  It’s a great place to experience some great wines and chat with the cool people that make them!

Hey Guys! Mooney Family recently opened a small tasing room In the “Far Out” region(46W)on Vineyard Drive, just a couple doors down from Opolo. We Tasetd all they had to offer (even the whites) and definately NO complaints here! A little pricey for non-members, but I would definately revisit ALL of the reds…Excellent! Beautiful, serene location, and really nice people!! It’s well worth the drive :}, Mo

Hi Monica! Yup…we’ll definitely have to head out to Margene’s 46E Tasting Room! We’ve just heard about it, too. Cheers!
