It's All About Spicy Pork and Some Graves Monkey Wrench

October 14, 2010 matt 3 Comments

Yeah, that’s right!  A sweet and spicy pork dish and some Graves Family Monkey Wrench Wine!  Preparing dinner, Hoot came along and said…”whatcha makin?  Let’s pair it with some wine and see what happens!”  So we went to the rack and picked something that might go well.  The pork was sweet and spicy – sauteed in a Pineapple Jerk Sauce, over an Apple and Roasted Pepper Risotto.  Seemed like the wine, a 50/50 blend of Grenache Blanc and Viognier would go well.  This is a before and after deal, an experiment if you will, a little food, a little wine and some adventure all mixed in.  Check out the before shot, and then the after shot.  You’ll see what happened…can you hardly stand the suspense???

Good morning Hoot N’ Annie thanks for the shout out, I know I’m your favorite fan. Wow, the pairing looked good and I will try and copy your menu. As far as the seasons and time, I like spring…(spring forward) cool weather and I like it when it doesn’t get dark until after 8pm. Hint, I don’t like 100+ degree weather or getting dark at 5:00pm. So when we come to PR it will be a cool spring day. Cheers!
