Hoot sits down with Erick Cadena, the Sommelier and General Manager of Villa Creek Restaurant in downtown Paso Robles, to ask him some questions that we got from some friends on Facebook. We covered things like what wine to pair with peanut butter to the ever elusive question, “How do they get those blueberries in the wine?”
Let us know what you think and feel free to give us more questions that we can ask Erick in the future. Cheers folks and Happy Thursday!!

Ha ha very funny. I meant how do they get grapefruit in Vogneeer.
They squeeze the juice out, John! How else? 😉
Thanks for allowing Eric to do this interview and asking my question first. That was exactly the answer I wanted to hear. It only happened to me once when I didn’t like a certain red wine and I didn’t know if it had been sitting on the counter for a long time when it tasted bad. The waiter took it back and I ordered my ususal. Someday I would like to take classes to become a Sommelier and know the difference between good and bad wine. We will definately stop at his restaurant for lunch/dinner and meet him too. Cheers!
Hi Bev! Glad you got the answer you were looking for! Erick really knows his wine stuff, and does a great job of explaining it to us “real” people. Let us know when you’re headed to Villa Creek, we’d love to Cheers *clink* with you!
