So, what’s new? Got it, enough about you…what’s new in Paso Robles. The answer: Shale Oak Winery. We first tried a wine of theirs at the Paso Robles Wine Festival this year, an Albarino, and it was awesome! So the next day, which was a Sunday, we went out and tasted through their line-up and must say, VERY good stuff. However, they weren’t really open yet…we tasted in their barrel room but had a great time.
Now, to the big news, they are officially open and so we had to run out and see the new tasting room…first reaction: holy crap, coolest tasting room in the area! They obviously put so much effort into the details of this place, it truly is fantastic and it’s totally green, from head to toe! They have this gorgeous front window….And the wine?? Still quite nice! I believe the Albarino and the Cab Sauv were our favorites.
The facility really is gorgeous, top-notch, and extremely peaceful…be sure to check it out!!
