As you know from the article last week, we recently had the amazing opportunity to go out to Justin Vineyards & Winery. What started out as simply a dinner that Annie won on Krush 92.5 radio ended up being an absolutely amazing overnight stay in the Bourdeaux Suite at the Just Inn thanks to Glenn Mitton and Tracy Dauterman.
In the first of three articles I filled you in on the wine and wine tour that Glenn took us on and just to reiterate, it was an awesome tour (including wine caves) followed with a very nice line-up of wines. In this, the second of the three articles, I will fill you in on the Just Inn.
Now, on to the Just Inn at Justin
There are four luxury suites, three of which are located near the tasting room and restaurant; however we stayed in the one suite that is actually next to the winery facility and the Wine Society lounge (tasting area for members of Justin Winery). No matter where you go on the property the views are outstanding…from those rolling hills of Paso Robles covered in vineyards to manicured gardens and colorfully painted buildings, it will take your breath away.
The suite we stayed in was beautiful. From the French country-esque kitchen to the beautifully painted walls, there was nothing missing in this two story hideaway. The downstairs, which is actually on the second story (above part of the winery facility), had a full kitchen, a great dining area, a half bath, and a very comfortable living room area with plenty of seating; and if I recall correctly the couch opens to a bed which you may need since there is only one bedroom and that is upstairs. The slight staircase takes you to the bedroom, so now you’re on the third floor, and this is a very welcoming and cozy spot.
The unique thing about the bedroom is that it boasts two bathrooms…one of which contains a shower and a sink while the other has the toilet and sink. A very neat layout with plenty of privacy and the décor flows from the downstairs up to the bedroom. They really did an interesting and unique job with this suite…I know of nothing else in the Paso Robles area that looks anything like this, well done. So, after sipping on some great Justin wines, and eating some of their incredibly tasty food, there’s no better way to end your day than an evening at the Just Inn. Treat yourself to a getaway, you deserve it!!!
