What’s better than drinking wine? I know, drinking wine that gives back to the community. As many of you know I got involved with must! charities a while back and have been extremely impressed with the projects they have taken on and even more impressed with the real results that have come from their efforts.
Two things make them successful in my opinion: 1) great leadership and 2) the amazing community of people that are choosing to put their time or money where their mouth is. The people and businesses involved with must! charities have come up with wonderful ways of contributing money. Recently a handful of Paso Robles winemakers came together to create a wine, called Common Ground, in which all proceeds will go directly to the charity.
There were 395 cases of Common Ground “Red Wine” made and you can see a list of where to purchase that wine here. I also found out from Becky Gray, Executive Director, that in the next few months they will be coming out with over 400 cases of Common Ground Viognier as well as over 600 cases of Common Ground Grenache.
If you have not heard of must! charities I encourage you to go take a look at their website for more information. It truly is an impressive group doing great things in North County San Luis Obispo. I know a lot of us think about getting involved but for some reason we just never do. There are simple ways to be proactive that don’t take a lot of time or money. Any little bit helps. If you enjoy living in the paradise that is Paso Robles and the Central Coast, it is our duty to help the community thrive.
Cheers!
