We had not been to Panolivo in over three years but recently made a point of going after a friend (thanks Megan) had mentioned the great breakfast she had there. One of our new favorite things to do is drop Sammy at preschool and grab a quick breakfast so this worked out perfectly.
It’s a comfortable little corner spot a couple of blocks off the downtown square. No parking issues here, that’s for sure. The square can get pretty busy from time to time although not at breakfast time…more so in the evenings.
I ordered the Ham & Cheese Croissant (Butter croissant filled with ham, Swiss Emmenthal cheese, & béchamel white sauce $7.95) with a side of bacon…because, bacon. Annie got the Smoked Salmon Chive Scramble (Smoked Atlantic scramble, chives scrambled eggs, tomato, red onion, horseradish sour cream $14.95). We each enjoyed the food and I especially enjoyed taking Annie’s hashbrowns.
Based on this experience I think we will definitely have it in the rotation of places to go. The food was solid, the service was good, and I actually liked the layout and the fact that they have outdoor seating. Something to remember, they also have a Jaffa Café in the same building. We’ve ordered take out from there before and enjoyed that as well.
Get out there and breakfast, my friends. They say it’s the most important meal of the day.
