We recently stopped in to Herman Story Wines to pick up our shipment and figured what the heck, might as well taste the wines too. Here’s what we tasted:
2014 Tomboy (100% Viognier) $48.00
2015 After Hours (100% Grenache Rose) $24.00
2014 On The Road (100% Grenache) $48.00
2013 Casual Encounters (45% Grenache 35% Syrah 18% Mourvedre 2% Tannat) $48.00
2014 Nuts & Bolts (100% Syrah) $48.00
2014 Milk & Honey (30% Tempranillo 24% Cabernet Sauvignon 24% Syrah 10% Grenache 7% Mourvedre 5% Petit Verdot) $48.00
Great wines. The Tomboy and After Hours were awesome. Really enjoyed the On The Road and Casual Encounters as well.
The few times we’ve been in it’s always been casual and fun. One of the guys (Gary) brought a Radio Flyer wagon out filled with toys for Sammy to play with and in the back they had a corn hole (bean bag toss) game set up. I just like saying corn hole. I’m not remembering the other guy’s name, but the one that poured for us was laid back, knowledgeable, and one that was easy to banter with. That’s always a key thing for me, easy banter.
If you haven’t been in I urge you to go. My assumption is that you’ll find something on the menu that strikes your fancy.

Love his wines. It’s been too long. We need to get back over there.
