Where to Eat: Mistura Restaurant

February 27, 2017 matt Leave a Comment

Our friend Lisa recently watched Sammy for a few hours so Annie and I could go grab dinner. We decided to head over to Mistura Restaurant since it had been quite a while. It’s a cool joint located at the River Oaks Golf Course. If you haven’t been go check it out, you have to try everything once.

Here’s what we ordered:

LA APASIONADA 20

Diver Scallops Tiradito, Passion Fruit, Aji Amarillo Leche de Tigre(gf)

CEVICHE MIXTO 16

Sustainable Fresh Seabass, Calamari, Shrimp, Octopus, Clams, Mussels, Lime, Leche de Tigre, Cilantro, Organic Red Onions, Yams, Andean Cancha and Choclo(gf)

EMPANADAS AJI DE GALLINA 14

Baked pastry filled with Free Range Chicken in Aji Amarillo Milk Crème, hard-boiled egg, Botija Olive

TAMALITO NEGRO 15

Peruvian Black Hominy Tamales, Black Squid Ink topped with Wild Shrimps in Aji sauce(gf)

We enjoyed everything but my favorites were the diver scallops and the empanadas. I have become a sucker for empanadas (I also really enjoy the ones at La Cosecha). Good food, good company (sucking up to Annie here), and good service. Thanks for a fun evening, Mistura!
