Wine Tasting: Fableist Wine Co.

May 19, 2017 matt 2 Comments

Here’s another recent stop we made with friends. The Fableist Wine Co. is located in Tin City between Barrelhouse Brewing and Tin City Cider Co. A few things that stood out about this one: 1) the labels, in my opinion, are very cool, 2) every wine is $20.00 straight up, and 3) for the price I thought the wines were quite nice.

Here what is on the tasting menu:

2016 Sauvignon Blanc

2016 Chardonnay

2015 Pinot Noir

2014 Fableist Tempranillo

2015 Fableist Merlot

2015 Fableist Cabernet Sauvignon

2015 Fableist Petite Sirah

As I said, the price point to quality was solid in my opinion and seemed to be mostly agreed upon by the four of us. Annie and I walked away with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir (I LOVE Pinot and at $20, I’m in), and Merlot. Beyond the wine, the tasting room has a fun vibe and there’s a doorway from this tasting room right into Tin City Cider Co. Two birds, one stone…right? Wine then cider, or is it cider then wine?

Thank you to Todd for pouring for us and for the good times. We first met Todd because we have kids in the same preschool class so there is a lot of parental bonding…and drinking.

Until next time, cheers!

After tasting the Fabelist Chardonnay at your house the chance to check them out came up for us to attend a tasting at a local resturaunt. Impressed with all we tasted, came home with the Pinot Noir & Temparnillo. You are right, for the price point, very nice wines. Plus cool label art!
Thanks for turning us on to The Fabelist!
