Where to Eat: Il Cortile Ristorante

May 27, 2017 matt Leave a Comment

A while back when Sammy was with Annie’s mom for an overnight we decided to stop into Il Cortile on our way home from the coast. This is one of those Paso Robles restaurants where we’ve literally never had a bad bite of food. I can also report that we’ve always had good service there.

On this visit we sat at the bar (we tend to be drawn to bars) and shared a few dishes. Here’s what we had and you can see photos in the slideshow below:

Poached egg over white polenta and parmesan fonduta with shaved black truffles 17

Beef carpaccio with black truffles (this was a special that night)

Fettucine salsicia – Spinach fettucine with house made sausage, white wine and pecorino romano 23

We had never ordered the poached egg dish or the fettucine salsicia before and we wanted to try new things. They were amazing. That said, there is a new menu coming out and the poached egg will be removed. We’re glad we had it prior to the menu change but we’re looking forward to seeing what’s on the new menu.

Anyway, this is just a short blog post reminding people that if you haven’t been…go. If you have been but it’s been a while…go back. Thanks to the whole crew for another great night!
