We were recently invited to a gathering at Inn Paradiso here in Paso wine country. It was an event put together between the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance and Inn Paradiso in order to get people to see this property as well as learn about it.
My initial reaction when I got the invite was, ‘how far out of town is it?’. Well, it’s not far at all. It’s located in town right off of Charolais Road on Mojave Lane, which is conveniently just about five or so minutes from where we live. Once you’re there, however, you feel like you’re out in the country. You feel isolated and tucked away, it’s beautiful.
Now, how would I describe the property? That’s tough. I could say it’s unique and eclectic or refer to it as a retreat or resort with part hippy commune. It’s all of these things. At one point I found myself on the second-floor balcony of one of the buildings where there was a hammock and based on that spot with those surroundings, you could have been in Costa Rica. Around every corner is something incredibly unique which will likely fill your mind with a little whimsy.
As we meandered around the property and through each building and suite, we were offered everything from Mezcal, wine, beer, and some amazingly delicious tacos and tamales. The staff did an incredible job, thank you to them. While I’m at it, thank you to Jennifer, Joel, and Chris with the Paso Wine Country Alliance for the invite and to Inn Paradiso owner, Steven, and Manager, Tova, for the incredible evening.
This is truly a magical property in the heart of wine country.
