Where to Eat: Luna Red in San Luis Obispo

February 18, 2020 matt Leave a Comment

Luna Red is one of the spots in SLO that we’ve been to several times in the past. Living in Paso Robles though, we just don’t get there too often. We stopped in on a recent Sunday after Sammy’s flag football game at Cal Poly.

As usual, it was awesome. The only exception is that the service on the patio in the beginning was a bit slow and I very rarely complain about that sort of thing but I was in need of adult beverages. The service did end on a positive note though.

Here’s what we ordered:

I had the ranchero tacos – black beans, house made tortillas, roasted tomato salsa, scrambled eggs, whipped avocado. $15.00

Annie had the duck carnitas hash & eggs: duck confit, potato-onion hash, spinach, poached eggs, chorizo-bacon gravy. $17.00

Sammy had scrambled eggs, bacon, and a cup of fruit.

Nothing much to say about the food other than it was great, like it always is. They do a great job at Luna Red. The ambiance, the food, the drinks…well worth a visit if you’re in the SLO area. It’s located right by the Mission, perfect area for a nice walk after food and beverage.
