15 Degrees C: The Place to Be

There’s this badass little spot on the main drag in Templeton that, in MY opinion, is a “must check out” kind of spot. It’s called 15 Degrees C Wine Shop & Bar but most refer to it as “15” or “15C”.

It used to be in the Trader Joe’s shopping center in Templeton but they moved toward the south end of Main St. a while back and what a great move it was. The original spot was pretty small and I have no idea who designed the parking lot at Trader Joe’s but good grief…it sucked to get in and out of.

The new spot is bigger and has a good sized patio out front so you can relax in the sun and people watch…which is always a good time.

15C is decorated well and has always had a great vibe. You are bound to run into friends, winemakers, grape growers, and God only knows who else; it’s the happening place to be! Ali, the owner, is a Sommelier and has done an amazing job filling the place with awesome wine and beer lists as well as some really, really good food. We’ve loved every bite of food we’ve ordered there and they make it all right in front of you.

Back to the wine and beer for a second, I personally don’t think anyone in North County can come close to the awesomeness of the stuff she has in there. More importantly, chances are that if she doesn’t have what you’re looking for it’s probably not even worth buying anyways.

Since we live closer to downtown Paso Robles we tend to go there more often but if 15C were in downtown Paso or if we lived closer to downtown Templeton…we’d be there…A LOT. As it is now we try to get down there a couple times a month.
